ALERT: Tubes of Silicon Di-Electric Grease were shipped in our connector kits.
DO NOT USE THE SILICON IN THESE KITS ON THE CONNECTORS, groundblocks, radios, or IFL cables!
Do not use the tubes labeled VC6 ¿ ¿ Silicone, or anything labeled Silicone in or on any part of the HughesNet installation except the base of the struts.
Use only DI-ELECTRIC GREASE.
Use leftover tubes of the DI-ELECTRIC grease or buy DI-ELECTRIC GREASE locally.
DI-ELECTRIC grease is a significant factor in reducing repairs.
you may not see silicone in the kits for 30 days or so while inventory is reduced.
Discard the tubes of Silicon which cannot be used to prevent a mistake.
The material impedes the signal, acidity can accelerate connector corrosion. It can expand as it dries to a hard pliable material and can pop the connector.
Please make sure ALL installers are informed.
